In this commercialized world the filed of education has become a major part which squeezes the blood and sweat of the parents in the form of fee under different created headings. So that the education is treated as the sour grapes by the students belong to the middle and the poor who are eager at studies. Inspite of having intelligence, they are not able to continue their studies. Hence, to encourage such students, our management has extended their services in the form of this ideal college since 1997 to make all of them avail this opportunity on minimum fee lesser than the others.
SBGNM Degree College was started in 1997 with B.Sc., B.,Com., B.A., courses under Satya Educational Soceity by Sri Botcha Satyanarayana garu former President, Pradesh Congress Committee, Andhra Pradesh state in memory of his beloved father late Botcha Gurunaidu Garu. Later We introduced BBM Course and M.Sc., Organic Chemistry. Later, the college name was changed as Satya Degree & PG College from 2008 -09 academic onwards and the educational society name was changed as Sri Botcha Gurunaidu Memorial Educational Society. Ours is purely unaided private college. Unlike, others it has been being maintained on the foundation of service to the poor and meritorious students on low fee structure by offering different courses of study as well as NCC, NSS and games and sports which are being totally ignored in rest of the colleges of whose motto is purely commercial.
Since its inception this college banner has been flying successfully. The college provides congenial academic and esthetic environment that allows the students to blossom to their fullest potential.

NSS and NCC Units:
We started NSS in 1998 with 100 volunteers and NCC in 2003 both girls wing and boys wing with 160 cadets. Our NSS and NCC units conducting somany social service activities, awareness programmes and rallies. And our NSS volunteer got Indira gandhi Nationhal Award in 2003 and our NCC cadets frequently participated in Republic Day celebrations at NEW DELHI as well as at Secunderabad.

We have observed some important days in our college like Independence day, Republic day, Teachers day, Gurajada Appa Rao Jayanthi, International Youth Day, Senior Citizens day, Gandhi Jayanthi, Ramanujan Jayanthi and Swamy Vivekananda Birthday as a youth day.

Introduction to its Genesis including its registration status SBGNM Educational Society has been established in the year 1996 by Sri. B.Satyanarayana, a well Known Personality in the field of Education and Social Service for the past 20 years. The society was registered in the year 1996 with Reg. No.72/96 having its registered office at College Road, Dr.no17-7-7. , VIZIANAGARAM, Andhra Pradesh, with a vision to impart affordable education to all. Smt.B.Jhansi Lakshmi, the Secretary and correspondent and a number of eminent personalities with service motto as its members SBGNM Educational Society has sponsored SATYA JUNIOR COLLEGE at Vizianagaram with a view to impart quality education among people of rural areas. Details of promoters including their background: - Sri Botcha Satyanarayana, the Chairman of the society is an eminent personality in Vizianagaram district. He is a well known philanthropist and active social worker. He was Chairman of District Co-operative Central Bank , Vizianagaram from 1993 1999. He was a member of 13th Lok Sabha from Bobbili Parliamentary constituency. He was the State cabinet Minister holding the portfolio of Heavy Industries and Exports and Marketing. Presently he is the Cabinet Minister in the Government of Andhra Pradesh holding the portfolio of Housing. Smt. B.Jhansi Lakshmi, the Secretary & Correspondent of the society has vast experience of 20 years in the fields of promoting Education and service. She believes in hard work and involves in every aspect of the society in imparting norms and values to the staff and students under her able leadership. She is actively involved in social service and generous in donating a lot to CMs relief fund whenever the situation demands, the tsunami relief fund. She ex tends her cooperation by donating a lot to the upliftment of poor and rural students. She is keen in helping the orphans by means of donations to the old age homes. As a mark of intention towards rural development, she has established all the technical and professional colleges in rural areas. She was the Chairperson Zilla Parishad Vizianagaram twice from 2001 2006. Presently she is the member of Lok Sabha representing Bobbili Parliamentary Constituency . She visited many foreign countries including USA, CANADA , UK, FRANCE, ITALY, GERMANY, SWIZERLAND, SRILANKA and participated in many international and national seminars.
